Privacy and Cookie Policy at RAISE – Research and Action for Income Security

We only collect personal data that is relevant to our activities at RAISE – Research & Action for Income Security. We have signed Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with all processors. They process your data only on our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes. We only use processors in the EU or in countries that provide adequate protection for your data.

Purpose and Legal Basis
We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • To deliver services you request, such as membership management or newsletters
  • To send confirmations related to your membership or other communications
  • To improve and optimize our website and services
  • For communications, with your consent (newsletter)

The legal basis for processing personal data is primarily contract performance, consent, or legitimate interests where appropriate. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

Retention Periods
Newsletter subscribers: retained until unsubscribe, with consent documentation kept for up to 2 years after unsubscribe

Active members: retained for the duration of membership

Former members: personal data deleted within 12 months after membership ends, except for accounting/payment records, which are kept for 5 years
General inquiries and communications: retained 6–12 months after last contact
Website logs and analytics: retained 30–180 days

Disclosure of Information

We do not sell your personal data to third parties or transfer it outside the EU/EEA, except via processors that meet GDPR requirements.
