Support NBO members in earning a sustainable income. This year, 100% of all membership fees goes directly to the NBO Saving and Credit Cooperative (SACCO).

Ngalo Buwereza Organisation (NBO) organizes and supports home-based workers in Uganda, who are often financially vulnerable and struggle to earn a sustainable income. NBO is working to improve earnings and working conditions as well as establishing a channel for advocacy. The SACCO will give members access to affordable loans to develop their business or pay school fees and healthcare.
As a member, you’ll receive regular newsletters with updates on our work and voting rights at the annual general meeting.
Membership costs DKK 100 per year or DKK 25 per month.

Become a volunteer

Are you interested in international development, social justice or communications – and looking for a way to get involved?

As a volunteer at RAISE, you’ll become part of a small and dedicated team based in Lystrup, just outside Aarhus. Your tasks will depend on your background, skills and interests – and we’re always happy to tailor a role that fits.

We usually encourage volunteers to commit to at least 6 months, but we’re also open to shorter engagements if we have a suitable project.

Here are some examples of tasks that a volunteer could do:

Help organise workshops
Reach out to potential corporate partners
Assist with fundraising
Participate in running membership campaigns
Create content for social media and our website
Write articles or minor research tasks (depending on the time available)
